We are always pleased to see a wide range of clinician and engineering speakers at the Australasian 3d Med Symposium and this year is no different. Representing a range of hospitals, academic institutions, industry, specialty areas, allied-health and geography – we always seem to attract a group of passionate and wonderful people who are just happy to connect, share their ideas and collaborate.

Mr Frank McGuire MP (@Frank_McGuire) Mr McGuire is Parliamentary Secretary for Medical Research in the Andrews State Government and Member for Broadmeadows. He also holds the portfolio as Parliamentary Secretary for Small Business and Innovation and has a background in journalism | |
Dr Elizabeth Sigston (@DrESigston) Elizabeth is a specialist Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon at Monash Health with a particular interest in Head and Neck Cancer. She is recognised for her advocacy in public health, environmental protection, and the value of women in medicine. She is a senior lecturer at Monash University and a 2015 Telstra Business Womens Award Finalist. | |
Dr Elizabeth McGrath Elizabeth is Director of Conformity Assessment in the Medical Devices Branch of the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) Australia. | |
Associate Professor Tracie Barber Tracie is a researcher in the University of New South Wales School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering specialising in vascular fluid dynamics and its utility in modelling arteriovenous blood flow. She enthusiastically returns to #3dMedAu17 after speaking at our 2016 symposium. | |
Dr Ian Chao Ian is a specialist anaesthetist based at Austin Health and Eastern Health. He holds an interest in anaesthetic training and simulation and runs the @3dMedLab anaesthetic simulation model design and printing program. | |
Dr Eka Moseshvilli Eka is a Radiation Oncologist based within the Radiotherapy Department at the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre. She has an interest in structural modulation of radiotherapy beams through 3D-printable beamformers. | |
Mr Graham Starkey Graham is a Hepatobiliary and Liver Transplant Surgeon at Austin Health and the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne. He is a clinical senior lecturer with The University of Melbourne. | |
Dr David Ackland David is a senior lecturer and biomechanical engineer at The University of Melbourne Department of Biomedical Engineering. He leads the Neuromuscular Research Laboratory and developed a world-leading 3d-printed titanium prosthetic jaw joint replacement, first implanted in 2015. | |
Dr Eric Yong Eric is a specialist interventional radiologist at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. He is a passionate clinical teacher and researcher. |
