The Australian 3dMed Symposium 2017 (#3dMedAu17) was held on Friday 25th August at Austin Health to a packed audience covering a wide range of topics in 3d Modelling, 3d Printing, and Virtual Reality in Medicine and Surgery.
The all-day program was opened by Frank McGuire MP, Victorian Parliamentary Secretary for Medical Research and featured numerous high-profile speakers from clinical medicine, basic sciences, engineering, and industry.

The second annual, hugely successful 3D Med Symposium was held on the 5th of October 2016, hosting over 130 participants from different disciplines. The purpose of the event was to facilitate discussions about the disruptive potential of 3D printing in the medical field, and serve as a catalyst for future ideas and as a meeting point for interdisciplinary collaboration.
